Mary accepted Christ at an early age. Mary and family moved to Houston, Texas in 1944. She attended Fidelity High School and graduated in 1958. During Mary's school years she played basketball and ran track. She played in the band, and she also was the Football Queen.
After graduation, Mary pursued a career as a Dental Assistant at the age of seventeen. Mary married Winfield Breeding Jr. on December 13, 1958. They had three beautiful children. Mary continued her career as a Dental Assistant until the age of 58, where she retired and became a Floral designer. Mary also attended Saint Gregory Catholic Church where she was a Catholic daughter. She would volunteer different service helping people. She was a loving and wonderful woman.
Mary transitioned on September 30, 2022. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Theresa and Clement Charles, her husband Winfield Breeding, Jr., her five sisters and one brothers, Theresa Martin, Rose Lee, Velma Green, Hildred Sonnier, Leola Charles and Joseph Charles, and one grandson, Steven MArkkey Breeding.
Mary leaves to cherish her memories and love three sisters, Dorothy Smith, Wilda Eaglin, and Mary Brown, all of Houston, Texas. Mary is survived by two sons, Winfield Breeding III (Latonya Polly), Ray Breeding (Myrna Breeding), and one daughter, Teresa Breeding Williams (Rob Williams), and five grandchildren, Lyneque, Dominic, Ebony, Rayneshia, Andrew.
Mary had eleven great grandchildren, Jada, Elijah, Heaven, Blessyn, Kamryn, Daniel, Eva, Elissa, Diana, Jayden, and Avah.
Also Mrs. Mary leaves to cherish her memories with a host of Nieces, Nephews and other relatives and friends.
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8
A visitation for Mary will be held Sunday, October 16, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A committal service will occur Monday, October 17, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 1:15 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, Texas 77038.
