She met Claybion “Sonny” Cloud Jr. in Houston, Texas and the two married on October 3, 1964. Mary was not an evangelical type, but she believed Jesus was her Lord and Savior. She raised two sons, Trey and Reyn, to believe in God and always wanted the best for both of them. Mary had four grandchildren. Tyler, Evan, Andrew, and Breynlee whom she adored. Mary was a devoted wife. She was a loving and supportive mother to her sons, and was always cheering the loudest for them during their games. Mary loved her entire family, not just her immediate family. She was an avid reader and enjoyed working on puzzles. Her favorite flower was the Stargazer Lily which symbolize prosperity and abundance. Mary was also a Christmas baby. She loved to eat popcorn and Hershey chocolate mixed together. Before retiring, Mary worked as an administrative assistant for several companies for nearly 40 years.
