

Mrs. Mary Louise Williams King was born November 9, 1937 to Ruth Brackens and Wilbert Williams in Mexia, Texas. On December 23, 1954, Mary L. Williams married Willie King. To this union four children were born. After a few years Mr. and Mrs. King moved their family to Houston. After moving to Houston Mrs. King and family united with Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in the Acres Homes area. At the time of her death Mrs. King was a member of St. Mark’s Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Elder Anthony Brodie.
Mrs. King was preceded in death by her father, mother, husband and son Willie King II. Mrs. King leaves to cherish her memories 3 daughters Patricia Piper, Kathy (Frank) Msigwa, Christena (Thomas) Jones all of who reside in Houston, Texas. Mrs. King also leaves to cherish 3 sisters Margie Nell Brown and Betty Thomas of Corpus Christi, TX and Ruby Rae Jackson of Dallas, TX. 2 brothers Luther Williams of Dallas, TX and Wilbert Williams of Houston, TX. Mrs. King had 11 grandchildren; DeWayne (LeeAnna) King, Malcolm (Mauricia) King, Crystal Nicole King, Nicholas King, Kevin Thomas, Devin Thomas, Nytasha King, Jennifer King, Megan King, Willie King III, Zachary Msigwa and seven great grandchildren Allyanna King, Lyric King, Jazelle King, Ja’Leal King, Miles King, Melody King and Nihemi King. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
She was a loving wife for 56 years and a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a strong believer in speaking her mind and telling you the truth whether you wanted to hear it or not with a hug and kiss. She could always be called on for encouragement and prayer or just a shoulder to cry on. Her love ran deep for everyone that she ever crossed paths with. She was a true soldier in God’s army that was committed in serving Him.
