She later met Don L. Macon Jr., and they married on April 30, 1960, in Houston, Texas.
Mary had a passion for spending time with her family, she loved cooking and preparing meals for them daily, and in her spare time you could find her crocheting and completing word searches.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years Don Macon, sisters, Mildred Stratton, Jeanette Luquette, Aileen Courtade, Doris Morello, and her daughter-in-law Lelonnye Macon.
Left to cherish her memory is son, Don L. Macon III; grandchildren, Ryan Austin Macon, Corey James Macon, and Tyler Sean Macon; great-grandchildren, Taylor Rose Macon, Daxton Charles Lee Macon and Scottie LeLonnye Macon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
