Melva Rae Bailey, 92, born in Rosepine, LA on February 1, 1919, was met at the Pearly Gates by her husband Milton, and her precious Lord Jesus, Sunday morning February 27, 2011. She lived in Canyon Lake, TX, and was formerly of Houston, TX. She is survived by daughters Deanna Johnson and husband Frank, of Canyon Lake, Darleen Brautigam and husband John of Centerville; two sons, Michael Bailey and Patrick Bailey and wife Susan of Houston, grandchildren, Chad, Sandra, Sherry, Shawntil, and Courtney; great-grandchildren, Kayla and Micah. Melva and Milton were loved charter members of the Church in the wildwood, and formerly members of Long Point Assembly of God, and Lindale Assembly of God Church in Houston. The celebration of her life will be 10:00 am, at The Church in the wildwood, Startzville TX, Thursday March 3, 2011. Funeral services will be 12:30 pm Friday, March 4, 2011 at Brookside Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Brookside Memorial Park.
