Micaela O. Rodriguez, 91 years old passed on June 14, 2024. She was born in Aguascalientes, Mexico on May, 19, 1933 to Jesús Olvera and Maria Tránsito Gallegos. She met Adrian Rodriguez in Houston, TX married on November 27, 1972. Micaela had six siblings, Francisco Olvera, Juan Olvera, Julia Olvera, Irene Olvera and Cliserio Olvera.
She had one daughter, Adriana Rodriguez-Perez; and four grandchildren, Adrian Perez, Olivia Perez, Malachi Perez and Carolina Perez.
She enjoyed sewing, knitting, playing Chinese checkers. She babysat many nieces and nephews with much love and joy.
Serving as pallbearers are Ricardo Hinojosa, Jose luis Olvera, Andy Olvera, Rogelio Olvera, John A Perez, Adrian Perez, Edward Zamora, and Daniel Zamora.
A visitation for Micaela will be held Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral services will occur Friday, June 21, 2024 at 2:30 PM at St Patrick Catholic Church, 4918 Cochran St, Houston, Texas 77009. A burial committal will occur Friday, June 21, 2024 at Brookside Funeral Home & Memorial Park.
