death by his parents, Weston and Ysobel Bowers and his older brother Jimmy. Mike was born in
Lubbuck, Texas in 1945. In his youth, his family moved to Amarillo so that the children could attend
Catholic School. Mike later graduated from Price College in 1963. After graduation he enlisted in the
United States Marine Corps. He was given honorable discharge due to thyroid cancer. He attended
West Texas State in Canyon, Texas. He married Judy Walker and moved to Albuquerque, NM. They
had two children, Julie (Bronson) Antley and Bryan (Pearl) Bowers. There are three grandchildren.
Mike was a true salesman, and never heard a bad joke he didn't like to repeat. His career moved the
family to Houston, Texas and then later to Washington D.C. After one year in Washington D.C. the
family moved back to the great country of Texas. As the computer age took off, Mike took computer
technology courses. Much of his ability with computers was self taught. He began to work in the IT field
from home and did also contract with various companies such as Dupont, Chase Bank, and others. He
married Alma Guajardo on December 14, 1999. She was the love of his life. They were devoted and
loving, and enjoyed travelling together. In 2020 Alma experienced health issues and Mike's health
issues followed in 2021. You would never find a more loving couple.
Survivors are His Wife Alma Bowers, Julie Antley, Bronson Antley, Brighton Antley, Bryan Bowers, Pearl Bowers, Hailey Padilla,
and Paige Milner, Mike's brother in Amarillo, Pat Bowers and wife Paula, Sister in law Patsy, Mike's sister in Amarillo and
the family favorite, Sharon "Cissy" Bowers, and sister by choice Judy Fugate.
