

He was born on September 20, 1954, in Houston, Texas to Georgia and Howard Kessler. He grew up in Deer Park, Texas. Michael worked for ExxonMobil for over 30 years as an electrician. He lived in Magnolia on a piece of land that he dearly loved. Michael loved to fish and travel. He had pets through the years that he called “his kids” and they worshiped the ground he walked on. Michael was a practical joker and was good at it. He loved to laugh and was a very generous person.
He is survived by his two sisters- Sharon Allen of San Leon, Texas, Karon Golden and husband Jerry of Longview, Texas, niece- Kimberley Smith and husband Jason of Henderson, Texas, nephew- Kevin Golden of Kilgore, Texas, aunt Barbara Gest, cousins Terri Hatfield and husband Forrest, Rhonda Payne, Courtney Payne of Spring, Texas, Lauren Lashomb and husband Michael of Woodlands, Texas and Kaitlyn Williams and husband Mike of Richmond, Texas. He also leaves behind his four legged friends (dogs) Whiskey, Princess, Daisy and Lilly.
The visitation will be on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 from 5PM to 8PM, at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX. The funeral service will be on Thursday, January 15, 2015, at 11AM in their Chapel, graveside service will be following at 12Noon.

Pastor Roderick J. Joe of Dallas, Texas will be officiating the service. Pallbearers are- Jimmy Allen, Forrest Hatfield, Nelson Patterson, Jerry Golden, Michael Lashomb, William Arnold, Joey Adkins and Jason Smith,
We thank “everyone” for loving him all the years he walked on this earth. For such a “gentle and kind man,” he will be missed by everyone. His sisters and Jennifer Arnold, his care provider, loved him “more than oxygen” and we will miss our baby brother so much.
