Beautiful photographs of treasured memories. My heartfelt condolences to the entire Pate family! I've been friends with Lisa since Kindergarten & we share many childhood memories together. And I'm thankful to still call her friend today! I recall spending summers at MP Instruments on Nordling Drive testing phones - Lisa would put her little pup in one of the desk drawers. Mr. & Mrs. Pate were always so kind! I know Mr. Pate was the heart of the family & he will be missed by many. May the love of each other help comfort & strengthen you in the days ahead & always! May God's peace be upon you! I love you all & you will be in my prayers!

Special trips to Centerville, just me and Pop. Stopping at Lacy's to pick up that awful canned chicken and dumplings (I'm convinced it was actual dog food). Picking me up early sat morning to clear brush for the new house and getting breakfast at Burger King. That stupid dirt sifter for the garden. Treating me like an adult and letting me run free long before I should have. Showing me the value of prototyping and failing. Constantly falling off ladders and swearing me to secrecy so the daughters wouldn’t find out. Always giving a few dollars to random panhandlers/jobseekers. Doing things the longer/harder way just to teach me how. Always having the cool head in any crisis (often self-inflicted). Being Doctor Pate for the entire family long before Google and WebMD.
