

Milton Ray Winebrenner, age 74, died August 7, 2011 in Houston, surrounded by his wife and extended family at Vosswood Nursing Center. He was born August 27, 1936 in New Gulf, Texas, and lived with his parents in Damon, Texas, until he moved to Houston to further his education. Milton was a graduate of Needville High School, Durham's Business College and the University of Houston. He served in the United States Army and Army Reserves. He was employed by W-K-M Valve in Missouri City and its successors (now Cameron), where he served as a consultant for a few years after he retired with 38 years of service. He was a member of the National Management Association, Toastmasters International and its local chapter WordCrafters, Sharpstown Civic Association (currently President) and University of Houston Alumni Association. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Winebrenner and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas VonCannon; by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nelson M. Winebrenner; and by brothers-in-law Forrest Hoffman and Gene Booth. Milton is survived by Irene, his loving wife of 54 years, and their beloved kitties Nip, Tigger, Butter and Twitter; his sister Shirley and her husband Bill Turner; his sister Dorothy Hoffman Booth; and their children and grandchildren. He is also survived by his extended-family members: Willard and Ruth Ann Sitton and their children Randal and Sandra; and "our Angels" Sasha and Engjell Yskolllari and their children Edra and Ned; and many close friends, neighbors and associates. A visitation will be held on Thur. 8/18 from 6-8 PM with a funeral service in the Chapel of Forest Park Westheimer Fri. 8/19 at 11 AM. Burial will take place at Houston National Cemetery immediately following. Should anyone wish to do so, a gift in Milton's memory to a favorite charity is suggested.
