Moises was born February 26, 1944 in Magnolia, Texas. He died on August 26, 2018 at the age of 74 in his home at 173 Robmore Street in Houston. Moises had resided at the Richmond State Supported Living Center for the past 36 years.

Moises was preceded in death by his father, Juan M. Diaz at the age of 83, as well as by his mother Dolores M. Diaz at the age of 95.

Moises is survived by seven sisters; Angelina Rodriguez, Mary Conway and her husband Ray, Elisabeth Miller and her husband George, Esther Rodriguez and her husband Frank, Alice Gayle, Gloria Van Dyke, and Mercedes Kirk. His brothers are John Diaz III and his wife Cindy, Jesse Diaz and wife Sue, and Alexander Diaz and wife Cherry. Moises is also survived by several nieces, nephew and friends.
