Mrs. Brenda Joyce Ford

Brenda Thomas Ford was born the 2nd of 4 girls to Dorothy and William Thomas on October 12, 1955. Her mom, Dorothy, preceded her in death. The Lord called Brenda home on October 13, 2018, one day after celebrating her birthday.   She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at St. John Baptist Church in Mansfield, Louisiana. She graduated from DeSoto High School in 1973. Upon relocating to Houston, she united with the Garden of Gethsemane Baptist Church.   She was previous director of the youth ushers and served with the church food pantry ministry. Her church family was dear to her heart.   Brenda and Charles Ford united in love and a daughter (Shunon) and a son (Brandon) were born. Charles preceded Brenda in death.   Brenda loved her family and spent time caring for her children and grandchild. She was employed for several years at Kingwood Pines Hospital.   Brenda was rarely speechless and always ready with a quick response. She was not one to “beat around the brush” which helped to make our family gatherings fun and memorable.   Loving memories will forever be celebrated and cherished by her children, Shunon Nicole (Marcus) and Brandon Deon(Dwana), grandchild, MaKenzie Willis, father, William Thomas, three sisters, Chirvone Hymes (Wayne), Annette White (Leonard) and Lisa Mayweather (Ronald), one sister-in-law, Pam Maul, two brothers-in law, Felton Ford and Early McCall, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
