
Lettie Brown Turner was born on March 20, 1943 to Robert and Minnie Brown in Logansport, Louisiana. Lettie was an only child. Shortly after her birth they moved to Houston, Texas. After graduating from Wheatley High School, she met and married James Comeaux. Two children were born to this union. She later married L.V. Turner and a son was born to this union. Lettie served as a faithful member and Nurse of the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend F. D. Sampson Sr., and now under the leadership of Reverend F. D. Sampson Jr. for over forty years until she was called home to be with the Lord. Lettie was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. Lettie peacefully transitioned from this life on March 2, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Minnie Brown and her husband; L. V. Turner. Lettie’s love for all will be cherished in our hearts forever by her four children; Edna (Logius) Davis, Michelle Comeaux, Andre (Syretta) Turner and Gary Turner, five grandchildren; Shaterra (Jacob) Smith, Logius Davis Jr., Carlton Berry Jr., Jazmine Coleman and Quan Turner, five great grandchildren; Jordyn Young, Kameryn Berry, Kelise Berry, Jaxon Smith and Justice Smith. Special Friend, Elzie Cole Sr; Special Cousin, Emma Cleaver, extended families, countless nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
