

Nancy Claire Campbell Zivley was called home by her Lord and Savior the 30th of December 2014 following a courageous and determined battle. She was born the 23rd of January 1933 in Temple, Texas to Lionel and Remarize Campbell and graduated from Temple High School in 1950. She attended Sweetbriar College and later Southern Methodist University, graduating in 1954. While at SMU, she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and met the love of her life and husband of 60 years, Walter Perry Zivley. They married the 6th of February 1954 and moved to Houston in 1955.
Nancy was a woman of unwavering Christian faith, a faithful servant to her Lord, and an active member of Bethel Church of Houston. A brilliant thinker, gourmet cook, talented artist, and oft-consulted decorator, she generously shared her gifts with the many people whose lives she touched. Despite her many successes, Nancy was most proud of the accomplishments of her four children and twelve grandchildren.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Lionel and Remarize Campbell; her brother, Lionel “Binks” Campbell; and brother- in- law, Mac McCrea. Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Walter Zivley; her sister, Dianne McCrea; her sister- in -law, Pat Campbell; her children, Bruce Zivley and his wife, Jill, Claire Zivley Baker and her husband, Bryan, Lisa Zivley Trujillo and her husband, Lorenzo and Perry Zivley and his wife, Harriett and her much adored grandchildren, Natalie Zivley Davis and her husband, Stephen, Caroline Zivley Rahmn and her husband, Mike, John and Jill Zivley, Davis, Melissa and Alice Baker, Lucas and Miguel Trujillo and Tripp, Sam and Nicole Zivley.
Honorary pallbearers include Mackie McCrea, Michael McCrea, Trey Campbell, Greg Nunley, Richard Eyster and David Patton.
Friends are cordially invited to attend a visitation with the family from three o’clock in the afternoon until five o’clock in the evening on Sunday, the 4th of January in the Grand Foyer at Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive, in Houston.
A memorial service will be conducted at twelve o’clock on Monday, the 5th of January 2015, at Bethel Church of Houston, 825 Bering Drive, Houston, Texas 77056. Prior to the memorial service, the family will have gathered for a private family burial service at Glenwood Cemetery in Houston.
The family extends their gratitude to Laura Salas, Wendy Rosember, Gabby Torres, Morna Cadle and the other wonderful caregivers for the outstanding care and comfort they gave Nancy.
