Narnee was born on July 9, 1939, in Dossville, Mississippi, to Euben and Effie Minshew. She graduated from Singleton High School and was a proud, lifelong member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Known for her unwavering love for her family, Narnee found immense joy in her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother especially in the special bond she shared with her great-granddaughter, Katelyn “K.K.” Gibbs.
Narnee was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert “O’Pa” Davis; her parents, Euben and Effie Minshew; her sister, Laverne Minshew; and her brothers Johnny, Charlie, Wendell, and Bobby Minshew.
She is survived by her loving sister, Tera Faye Hicks; her sons, David “D.D.” Gibbs and wife Jocelyn “Josh” Gibbs, and Johnny “John” Gibbs and wife Alicia “Lisa” Gibbs; her grandson, Johnathan “J.R.” Gibbs; her cherished great-granddaughter, Katelyn “K.K.” Gibbs, and step sons Gene Davis and Michael Davis. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family who will miss her dearly.
