

Nathan Paul Bourgeois, age 65, ended his battle with cancer in his home in Houston, surrounded by his family on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 3:30 am. He was born on November 5, 1950 in Lafayette, LA to Herman Bourgeois Sr. & Mary Bonin Bourgeois. Nathan graduated Northside High School Lafayette, LA in 1969, and obtained a BS in Electrical Engineering from SW Louisiana Technical Institute in 1975. Nathan owned CTB Electric in Lafayette, LA, and later worked at IBM in Fishkill, NY, Termal Dynamics in Houston, TX & Redondo Beach, CA, and TAS Energy in Houston, TX. He married Bunny Lovell Bourgeois on March 16, 1991, and loved to work together to build things for their home in Houston, TX. Nathan also loved to be around people, go dancing, and was a wonderful cook of anything Cajun. Nathan was previously married to Elizabeth Susan Bourgeois for 20 years, and together they had one son (Chad).
He is survived by his wife Bunny Lovell Bourgeois; Chad Bourgeois-Son and his wife Nichole; Step Children-Gary Smith and his wife Misty, Kimberly Smith Miller and her husband Darren, Pam Milligan; Grand Children-Brook Elizabeth Bourgeois, Bethany Kristine Bourgeois, Jill Breann Bourgeois, Meghan Elizabeth Smith Martin, Bunny Renna Lynn Smith, Logan Brandon Menard, Melaina Nichole Menard, Emily Grace Menard; Great Grand Children-Grayson DeCesare; Siblings-Herman Bourgeois Jr. and his wife Edolia “Dolly”, Mona B. Guedry and her husband Mac, Ricky Bourgeois; 7 Nieces and Nephews; 14 Cousins
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 11:00 am at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Fwy., Houston, TX 77039. The family would also like to invite everyone to join us back at Bunny’s home after the service to reminisce, grieve, support each other and, of course, just chat. Food and drinks will be provided.
