Nelda was born to Homer and Nettie Clark of San Angelo, Texas, in Bronte, Texas, where she grew up and attended high school. She moved to Houston, where she has been a resident since 1942.Here she was a member of First Baptist Church and Marantha Sunday School class. She was also a member of the American Business Women's Association. Nelda was very proud of her 34 year career as a sales associate of Battelstein's Inc.
Predeceased by her husband, Travis, parents and her sister, Una Vae. She is survived by her dearest and closest friend, Winfred Boriack, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from three until five o'clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, the 31st of March, in the Drawing Room of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
A graveside service and interment is to be conducted at one o'clock in the afternoon on Thursday, the 1st of April, at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway in Houston.
