

Neyda was born on May 8, 1936 in Havana, Cuba to Ricardo and Anhelica Cabral. Neyda resided in Cuba growing up and graduating high school until 1958 when the Cuban revolution forced her to flee to the United States. There she made her home in New York City, where she entered under permanent residence and eventually became a U.S. citizen. There, she also met and married her Husband, Joseph De Pedro. In July of 1970 the De Pedro family relocated to Katy, Texas where Neyda worked in the Katy school system food division then exiting the workforce to become a full time Mother.
Neyda’s hobbies included sewing, gardening, and her biggest passion was cooking. She also spent time traveling throughout the world with her husband when time allowed. Neyda loved spending time with the family and made many friends with all the people she met.
Mrs. Neyda A. De Pedro leaves behind her husband of 65 years; Joseph De Pedro of Conroe, Texas-Daughter Rosie Manchester and husband Steve of Vero Beach, Florida. Sons- Joseph A. De Pedro and wife Kathleen of Conroe, Texas; Jimmy De Pedro and wife Amy of Conroe, Texas; Grandchildren- Tiffany Jayroe and husband Josh of Montgomery, Texas; Alexander De Pedro and wife Cierra of West Valley City, Utah and Cody Brewer of Willis, Texas.
Great grandchildren-River and Chloe De Pedro of West Valley City, Utah. Sisters- Chichi Llanes and husband Carlito of New York City, New York; Naty Quintana and her husband Conrado of Miami, Florida; Eva Soto and her husband Chicho of Miami, Florida and many other cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
Neyda was a loving wife, mother and friend to many and will be immensely missed by all who knew her.
