I ran across this obituary by accident and noticed the year. It does provide a life lesson. I thought I was having a terrible year that year. Your life was taken too soon. God bless your family and may you rest in peace.

I cannot put it into eloquent enough words to share how my heart goes out to everyone she has ever met, as we all knew how amazing and unique she was.  Rest well Nicky.

I know Nicole from the Montrose Great Book Club.  She participated in and contributed a great deal to our discussions.  We will miss her insights and her humor.

I knew Nicole only briefly as a member in Montrose Great Books book club.  She was scheduled to lead a discussion on BELOVED, a book she had suggested for the group.  We missed her at the meeting and didn't know she was no longer with us.  Now I am left missing her as a fellow bibliophile, someone who participated passionately in our discussions.  I could tell from the first meeting she was special.  As organizer for the group, I don't often see someone who was as excited about the ideas and characters in the great books we discussed.  Wish there would have been time to know her better.  She will definitely be missed.

The Regina Dominican High School Family is deeply saddened. We will keep Nicole, her husband Daniel and her entire family in our thoughts and prayers.

It was a great privilege to have known such a cheerful happy person.  I will always have fond memories of the fun times biking and hanging out with you two. Our sincerest condolences to the entire family.

Marc said it best..."This is so unexpected!" Sarah, Adie, Marc and I cannot believe our Nicki is gone. We were so lucky to have her in our lives, and will miss her dearly; the quirky, kooky, smart, funny and devoted friend she was to all us. We are thinking of you Kelly, Gale and Danny. Our only consolation is that she is with Tim, and somehow I think Tom Skelling got a message from above to show proof of our sorrow with the torrents of rain that poured down in Chicago today. I cherish memories of my god-daughter's early years in Chicago.  She was always so engaged and smart.  This is such a tragedy.  Gale, Kelly, Daniel, and Jessica, Carol and I are thinking about you and hope that you will all take good care of yourselves during the coming weeks and months.

I missed you Nicole! You are always that smiling girl reading books on the bus after work everyday in my memory!

To Danny and Family,

I informed the ladies from Nicole's class on Tuesday and all of us are deeply saddened for our loss of such an awesome person. Nicole was a wonderful person and team mate that brought great energy to our dojo. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. She will be missed.

I am shocked and saddened by the news of Nicole's sudden passing. Even though we were no longer co-workers, we still found time to talk when we passed in the hall (which was early last week). Never thought it would be my last time to see her! She will be greatly missed! Prayers to the family!
