Nina Olivia Overby triumphed over this world August 22nd, 2013 to enter into eternal rest at home in heaven with her Savior. Born on March 11th, 1922 in Ranger, TX, Nina retired from the Dallas ISD after 30+ years of service. After retirement, she resided in Trinity, TX with her husband of 69 years, George Overby, where she continued service in the education field substitute teaching at the local schools and attended Dorcas Wills Baptist Church.
Nina is survived by her sister, Evelyn Aiken; daughter, Barbara O. Nail; son, George Overby, Jr.; two grandchildren, Brian Overby and Dena Hamrick; and five great-grandchildren, Aidan, Kennedy, Corin, Brianna and Blayne.
Visitation will be held from 4pm until 6pm on August 25, 2013 at Brookside Funeral Home Champions in Houston, TX. Interment will be held at a later date in Restland Cemetery in Dallas, TX.
