Ocita "Chit" (Tan) Reyes, age 74, of Cypress, Texas passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022. Chit was born October 7, 1947 in Zamboanga City, Philippines to Carlos and Rosalia Tan. Chit married the love of her life Reynerio on March 31, 1965. Together they built a family, and Chit became a full-time mom to their five children. She had a wide circle of family and friends whom she routinely communicated with. She was a dedicated, loving wife and mother, and she will be deeply missed. Her family and friends will always remember her as someone who loved unconditionally and who could always find the good in everyone.
Chit is survived by her husband, Reynerio Reyes; daughters Rachel Ricafrente; Rhodora Flores; Roselle Reyes; Reysa Manible; and her son Richard Reyes. She has 13 Grandchildren- Nino, Peter, Renren, Roshelle, Ryan, Chino, Frenchie, Patricia, Razelle, Mica, Nicole, Joshua, and Scarlett; 4 son-in-laws; and 1 daughter-in-law.
A visitation for Chit will be held Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home-Cypress Creek, 9149 Highway 6 North, Houston, TX 77095. A rosary service will occur Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 6:45 PM, 9149 Highway 6 North, Houston, TX 77095. A reception will occur Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 6:45 PM to 8:45 PM, 9149 Highway 6 North, Houston, TX 77095. A funeral service will occur Friday, February 18, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at St. Edith Stein Catholic Chruch, 3311 N Fry Rd, Katy, TX 77449.
Serving as pallbearers are Reynerio Reyes, Richard Reyes, Wilbert Manible, Russell Flores, Nino Ricafrente and Joshua Manible.
