Mom was a beloved wife to Ignacio for 59 years until his death. She set an example as a devoted wife, loving mother, and caring grandmother/great grandmother. She showed her children how to love by her unconditional love for her sisters “manitas”. In order to instill the Catholic faith in their children and for them to receive a good education, Mom and Pop sacrificed by sending all of them to catholic schools: St. Francis of Assisi, Incarnate Word Academy, and St. Pius X High School, for which they are very grateful.
Mom was a devout Catholic who led a life of humility and daily prayer. She was the embodiment of 1 Corinthians 13:4-8; kind, patient, not envious nor boastful... she rejoiced in the truth, trusted, hoped, and always persevered. Her family and those who knew her, were blessed by her presence. She never forgot anyone’s birthday, including daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mom was a member of the following Houston parishes: Our Lady of Sorrows, Queen of Peace, St. Leo the Great, and St. Theresa in Sugarland, Texas. She loved her prayer group at St. Leo’s, and was an avid sports fan.
We would like to thank everyone who cared for her until her last breath. She will be missed by many.
