She attended the University of Texas in Austin, where she and her future husband met, and then worked for American Airlines. Pam and Dick were married in Dallas at her parents' home on the 8th of September 1972, and then settled in Houston.
Pam was an active supporter of the Scouting program at her church, The Church of St. John the Divine, serving as a Den Leader in Pack 55 and a Troop Committee Member and Merit Badge Counselor for Troop 55 where her sons earned the rank of Eagle Scout. She also served as a volunteer for CanCare, the West University Little League, and at her sons' schools including Annunciation Orthodox School, Episcopal High School and St. John 's School. Pam had a real soft spot in her heart for those who volunteer and who put others before self.
In addition to her volunteer duties, Pam loved to cook, to travel, and to visit with her many friends and their sons and daughters, all of whom she would treat as equals and advise and counsel as needed. She enriched the lives of all who knew her. But above all she loved and cared for her husband and her two sons.
