When we lose a loved one here on earth, we gain an angel in heaven that watches over us. May you take comfort in knowing that you have an angel to watch over you now. We extend our most sincere condolences to his wife Lydia, daughter Nita, son Hubert, daughter-in-law Betsy and Cheung Family.

Dear Chung family:
We were sadden to hear of the passing of Pastor "L.T."  On behalf of Cindy, Tommy and I, our sincere condolences go out to Mrs. Chung, Hubert, Betsy, Nita and the rest of your family.  Pastor Chung, along with a handful of others, were responsible for transforming CBC from that little congregation on Lamar Street into what it is today.  His leadership continues to be felt by many and we are all better for having learned from him.  He will be missed and fondly remembered.

Pastor Cheung, was a faithful man of God.  He read scriptures at my wedding. I give my condolences to his family - Lydia, a devoted wife who was always by this side. Nita and Hubert who shared high school with me and devoted to their father.

My grandparents worked at the Chinese Baptist Church for MANY years (30 years or more). The church was originally located in downtown Houston until it moved to spring branch. Pastor was one of the kindest most humble men you could ever meet. One thing he told my grandparents was he could live no better than the least member of his church. That is a philosophy and theology you don't hear in today's pastors. May he rest in heaven!

I am a better man for having known you. you taught me a lot and showed me how much you cared about my family and myself. I still remember coming to see you in the hospital and the first thing you asked me when you saw me was if I had had my back surgery .Icould not believe that! here you are in your own pain and yet you were worried about ME. That showed me then just what a REAL and CARING Man you were even though I already knew that. I will MISS you so much. May you rest in peace while the rest of us struggle to go on without you. Your pain and suffering has ended but it will be a long time till ours does from losing you. It was an honor to know you.!!

Thinking of you all with prayers ascending!  Pastor Cheung had his own method of always being able to tell which one of us was Cindy and which one was Susan and made it a point to acknowledge us as individuals rather than twins!  That takes a special person and will always remember he was the one who baptized us into the family of Christ!  Love to you all!

May God bless the entire family during this time of sorrow.  I understand many people have come to know the Lord through this man.  I know he will be missed by the family, the church and the entire Christian community he worked among.  I attend Calvary Baptist Church in Beaumont  and serve in the choir with his son, Hubert Cheung.

I will miss seeing you every Saturday morning. I will definitely miss the conversations that we have shared over the past 8 years and all I have learned from you. you always had a smile on your face even when I knew you were hurting.you were a very rare soul and will be missed more than you will ever know.I know you are at peace and out of pain now but this world has lost a VERY SPECIAL MAN and I know that you have taken a part of MY heart with you to Heaven Damien and Punkin (Anastasia)
