

Affectionately known as Ms. Pat, she was born on March 29, 1923 in Shimonoseki, Japan to Yojiro and Kiyome Ito and was the 4th of 7 children. Patricia studied Home Economics and graduated from Fukuoka-Shihan College in 1945. After graduating, Patricia worked as a teacher and eventually worked as a phone operator and secretary at Camp Fuji U.S. Army Base in Gotemba, Japan.
Patricia married Norman Galle in September of 1959 and moved to the United States in February of 1960. They eventually separated in 1972 after 13 years of marriage. Patricia married Harold Storo in October of 1978 which lasted 23 years, until his passing in 2001. They spent their time traveling to various destinations such as Norway, Denmark, Switzerland, Alaska, and her hometown in Japan. Though Patricia did not bear any children, she cared for her extended family as if they were her own.
Ms. Pat worked as a Staff Assistant for the Minute Maid Company, a division of the Coca-Cola Company, where she eventually retired from in 1990, at the age of 67. Patricia was a member of the Japan-America Society and had a passion for practicing traditional Japanese Tea Ceremonies, floral arrangements, and was an avid traveler. She enjoyed collecting Japanese Kokeshi dolls and has a treasure trove of Beanie Babies.
Ms. Pat was a beloved member of her Houston community where her friends, neighbors, and family cherished their time spent with her. She had an insatiable sweet tooth and was blessed with a healthy appetite until the very end. Patricia was cared for by her loving niece, Keiko, until her final day in her own home.
Patricia Storo is survived by Keiko and her two children in the States, along with two nieces, four nephews and their children in Japan.
A memorial will be held at Brookside Funeral Home – Cypress Creek on August 17th, 2024 at 2pm. Visitation will be held from 12pm – 2pm with snacks and refreshments.

A visitation for Patricia will be held Saturday, August 17, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home-Cypress Cr, 9149 Highway 6 North, Houston, TX 77095, followed by a memorial service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
