It's still hard to believe you're gone, even after a year, but the memories live on. The most talented, loving, funny, intelligent, caring person I have ever known. Play on with your heroes, Pat.

I met Patrick in the 80's at Steak and Ale when he was with the band PopKorn.  Fast forward 30 or 35 years later, I work at a storage facility in the Garden Oaks area.  He came in and we got to talking and discovered we had met in the 80's.   We were on opposite sides of the political spectrum and had some heated discussions.  We made a pack that we would remain friends and not let our different opinions separate us and it worked.  Will miss him driving up in his Toyota and shooting the breeze with me.  Fond memories.

Pat was a legend.   Kind and quiet, and always a pleasure to be around.  One of the finest musicians I’ve ever had the pleasure to know, but his personality was even better than his musicianship.  RIP

Hello, this is Greg Giacona, Houston/Austin musician, I was shocked to learn recently of Pats passing, so sorry to hear this. I’d like to share a memory of Pat from many years ago. I met him, perhaps in the late 80s, playing at the Steak-and-Ale in south Houston as part of the duo Popkorn.  I was an up-and-coming pianist/musician, and I saw him performing live doing amazing things with MIDI sequences on a Macintosh. So I picked his brain about that and he open the door for me to become involved in that side of music production, and haven’t stopped since. I’ll always consider Pat a wonderful influence and a dear friend, and I know he’s in a better place now, out of pain.

In addition to his many musical skills, Patrick played a tasty, creative guitar. This shot shows him at work in our music room. I was lucky to have this friend with immense talent.

This is a shot of Patrick and me listening to a live band at Birraporretti's. Patrick was a great friend, and we miss him every day. Every time he came over to our house, he would open his laptop and play special music selections he wanted me to hear. I think he liked sharing music as much as he liked creating it. 

Patrick loved cats, and they gave him immense joy. We were honored to bring his two kitties into our home.  Now I think of him every time I see them.

This is Patrick and I last year at an Astros baseball game, just being a little silly as we often were. We went to at least 1 game every year for the past few years. 

I got Patrick to replace me at maggiano's when I left  in 2005. He then got me to replace him at Truluck's . He would come out from time to time and sit in with me and perform. We had a mutual respect for one another as musicians. 

We would always check on each other as we went through our different illnesses. We were very good friends and I will miss him... Rest in peace my friend...

Patrick led a wonderful path in the Houston music scene that we will never forget.  Such a kind and intelligent person.  He will be missed.

I feel lucky to have shared the stage for one night only with this incredible musician! He was gracious to give me a chance to sub in on a gig. He’s given so many the joy of music! May he rest in peace.

I went to school with Pat  and we were in a band together.Pat was so much fun and was our lead singer.  Always positive and a driving force for the many songs we performed.

Patrick was an amazing talent!I traveled near and far to hear him play.When he saw me walk in the room he would know what my request would be.Baker Street and he was always nice enough to do it.
What ever song he did everyone in the audience loved it!
I still remember scooting out of work early to hear the last few songs of Rancho Bebop at Rockefellers.
I will miss his music but his friendship even more!

I played in a band with Pat many years ago. Such a talent and great voice.  Also a very funny guy as well. He will be missed.

Patrick had talent oozing from every pore in his body!!  He filled the room with his immense talent and musical joy happened.  I was so blessed to know Patrick, so lucky to have him perform his magic at  my piano bar for so many years, both with Sharon Montgomery- a fabulous team- as well as solo…..although,  I am not sure you can still call it solo when he would play four different instruments in one song!! (Baker Street)
We will remember Patrick and the sound of his songs will stay in our hearts.

So sad to hear the news of my first love.  Condolences to June and Mike, as well as the rest of the family.  He was an amazing person and will not be forgotten.
