Good Evening,

I've only just become aware of Pat's passing.  I am an old school colleague, dating back to a school we attended in Egham, Surrey, England.  It was called Strode's Grammar School and we studied there between 1958 and 1965.  

I have a couple of photos (not very good) of team sports, where Pat excelled.

I would like to be able to contact his family - I have no idea whether  they would wish to be contacted by someone so distant now, but perhaps you can help me.

What a loss!  Patrick was a bright, kind, generous soul.  We helped Composer Robert Avalon create The Foundation for Modern Music which promoted growth of musical composition & performance.  He gave generously of his time & treasure ....in his especially gentlemanly style.  The world is now diminished by his absence!

Patrick was a good and caring friend. He helped me immensely transition into the President position of the Board of Directors at the Houstonian Estates a few years ago. He was a kind and gentle person, yet could be a force if he thought things were going the wrong direction. I remember one day he took me up to the recreation deck to convey his idea about not replacing the aging and unused wood decking, but instead taking the deck down to the original roofing material.  His grace and demeanor, maybe his just being British, was classic style.  I still think I will run into him in the hallway...can’t believe he is gone from here. Thank you Patrick for your presence in my life!

Patrick was one of the first people I met at the Houstonian Estates and always remained one of the most interesting. Patrick was brilliant, quirky, compassionate and had strong opinions— all of them well reasoned. 

He also generously contributed his time to the co-owners Board of Directors and created the budgeting and accounting system we still use today.  He chaired the finance committee and was president of the board.  

When my husband passed away, Patrick was so empathetic and comforting. I still treasure a note he wrote me. 

 I wish he were still with us. He will be missed. 


We are deeply saddened by the passing of Patrick.  Alan and I present our most sincere and heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Patrick was our neighbor and I considered him as a friend.  He was a true gentleman.  We were fortunate my husband and I to spend time visiting with Patrick at the Houstonian’s parties.  We loved his company and his conversation.  He was fun and very interesting.  Indeed he was extremely well read and highly cultivated.  Sometimes we exchanged books and discussed them.  He was also very kind and very generous with his time with our community.  He was very active with our home owner’s association for many years.  He was also a compassionate person.  After hurricane Harvey he donated to charitable causes.  
He left us too soon.  We were fond of Patrick and we will miss him.   I am certain he is in a better place in heaven.
