May 29, 1938 – June 2, 2025
Patsy (Patti) Everett Wilson, age 87, went home to be with the Lord on June 2, 2025, in Houston, Texas. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Patti lived a life marked by faith, kindness, and unwavering love for others.
Born on May 29, 1938, in Waco, Texas, to Jess and Edna Everett, Patti grew up with a heart full of compassion and a gift for encouraging those around her. She always had a kind word to share, a smile to offer, and a listening ear. Her presence made others feel seen, valued, and loved.
A woman of deep faith, Patti had a lifelong love for reading the Bible and sharing its wisdom. She especially loved teaching God’s Word to the women at her church, where she poured out her knowledge, encouragement, and gentle strength. Her favorite verse was 2 Timothy 2:15:
“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.”
Patti was the beloved wife of Vano T. Wilson for 58 years, and together they built a family grounded in love, faith, and laughter. In her later years, her grandchildren became the joy of her life. She stayed close to each one, keeping up with their lives through frequent texts, always offering love, encouragement, and prayers.
Patti is preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Edna Everett; her husband, Vano T. Wilson; and her grandson, Michael Joseph. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Mike and wife Libby, Steve and wife Michelle, Brian and wife Melissa, and daughter Karen; grandchildren Ryan, Ashlyn, Nolan, Zachary, and Juliana; and her sister Judy and husband Randle.
A public visitation will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077. A Celebration of Life will follow on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the same location, with a committal service to follow.
Patti loved all things colorful, so the family invites guests to wear something bright and cheerful in her honor—a reflection of the joyful light she brought to so many.
Her legacy of love, faith, and encouragement will live on in all who knew her. Patti will be deeply missed and joyfully remembered.
