Born June 27, 1952 in Houston, Texas to her parents, Clara H Morrison and Horace ‘Pat’ Morrison. She passed away on January 26. 2017, at Madisonville Care Center in Madisonville, Texas from a 3+ year battle with dementia and pneumonia.
Patti Sue is survived by her sister, Ruth W. Wakefield; 2 nieces, Charlana R Denson-Smith and Wendy Dae Denson; a great niece, Hannah L Moore.
Patti Sue was preceded in death by both her parents and brother, Ross Morrison.
Patti was schooled in several public schools in Special Ed classes then transferred to The Center for the Mentally Challenged in Houston, Texas. She lived there for 30+ years where she was in classrooms which she called ‘college”; worked at the Workshop for a salary on piece work and lived in the Cullen Residence Hall. She was active in Girl Scouts and Special Olympics winning several gold medals. She went to church, movies, rodeos, sports games, summer camp, shopping, bowling and weekly dances at The Center.
