
Mr. Paul Andrew Beveridge, of Houston, Texas, passed away Friday night, January 24, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife and children. Paul is survived by his dearly loving wife of 40 years, Peggy; three children, Justin, Jeffrey, and Christopher, daughters-in-law Lizette and Jessie; and grandson, Andrew.
Paul was born June 10, 1954, in Youngstown, Ohio, to Raymond and Ella Beveridge. Paul grew up in Boardmen, Ohio, where he attended Boardmen High School. Paul attended Ohio State University and Youngstown University, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. Paul knew from a young age he wanted to serve his community and give back. Paul started his public service career with the Beaver Police Department in Ohio. He later moved to Houston, Texas, where he served the greater Houston community as a police officer working for Southside Place Police Department, Metro Police Department, and Memorial Villages Police Department. In total, Paul served as a police officer for over 34 years. During his service Paul was instrumental in the D.A.R.E. and G.R.E.A.T. program where he taught in the Spring Branch School District. Paul found great joy teaching and working with the youth in Spring Branch in his capacity as a police officer.
Outside of work, paul had many passions and enjoyments. Paul was a passionate and faithful Christian, and an active member of Cornerstrone Glocal Methodist Church. He found great reward volunteering at his church and being a sunday school teacher. Outside church, paul enjoyed playing golf with his close friends "The Geezers", spending time with his loving family, taking vacations, running marathons, and watching the Ohio State University and Texas A&M University football teams. Paul as known for his deep love of family and friends, who would describe him, as having a witty sense of humor.
The Beveridge family would like to give a special; thanks to the Waldorf family for giving Paul a kidney that allowed him a year of joy to travel and visit family and friends.
