Paul Perez, Born June 30th, 1944, passed peacefully into eternity to be with his Lord and Savior on January 18, 2025. He graduated from Waltrip High School and began a 43 year career with the U.S. Postal Service. During that time, Paul also pastored his church and shared his love of the Lord with anyone he met.
He married the love of his life, Eva, and their blessed union lasted for over 61 years. He lived his life for his family and adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Paul had a love of music, writing songs and performing for church and also for his post office family at events and conventions. He enjoyed taking family trips to Garner State Park and to states beyond. An adventurous person, he even rode his motorcycle all the way to Canada. Through it all though, he never ceased speaking out about his love of the Lord and spreading Christ's word wherever he went. He never met a stranger and would take off at a moment's notice if someone was in need. His love and devotion to his family was paramount and his eternal love of God was ever-present. We rejoice in the knowledge that his life meant so much to so many and we know that his legacy is one that will last for as long as those that knew him draw breath. We are forever thankful for the time we were given with him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Josè and Juana Perez, his son Mark, his sisters Yolanda, Nica, Mary, and Lupè, and his son-in-law Mike Paonessa. He is survived by his wife Eva, sisters Andrea, Janie, and Sylvia. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever live on in the hearts of his children: daughters Teresa Smith and Denise Paonessa, and his son Damon. His grandchildren Jeremie, Mark, Paul, Kristen, Erynn, Steven, Collin, Jason, Damon, and Ahmed. Great grandchildren Caden, Lily, Nola, Brooklyn, Riley, Hadley, Michael, Marcus, Luna, Edgar, and Maverick.
Rest in the arms of the Father, Paul. Your love and compassion will live on in our hearts forever.
Romans 8:38 - For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
A visitation for Paul will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home-Cypress Cr, 9149 Highway 6 North, Houston, TX 77095.
