Pearlie Wanda Childress went to be with her Lord on August 21, 2017. She was born on September 2, 1931 in Giddings, Texas to parents Herman and Marie Kipp. Pearlie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, Thomas Franklin Childress; and son, Kip Franklin Childress. She is survived by her two children, Sharon K. Childress and husband Brian Hecht, Thomas Houston Childress; two grandchildren, Christopher Childress and wife Jennifer, Jonathan Childress; sister, Gracie Underwood.
The family will receive friends for visitation Friday, September 15, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM; and a funeral service Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Airline Manor Baptist Church, 610 E. Parker Rd., Houston, Texas 77016; followed by a burial at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
