

Peggy M. Oalmann departed from this life on November 24, 2021 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was born February 11, 1954 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She has been a resident of Katy, Texas since 2007. Peggy was formerly a resident of Arabi and Chalmette, Louisiana for 51 years. She was a parishioner of St. Mark Catholic Church in Chalmette.
Peggy is the beloved wife of Raymond A. Oalmann for 41 years and a devoted mother to Jeffrey A. Oalmann (Naomi) and Jessica A. Oalmann.
Peggy was the daughter of the late Elmer Larry McKeough and Marion S. McKeough.
She is survived by her brothers Luke J. McKeough (Cherie) and David J. McKeough (Deborah) and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Peggy graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in 1972.
She worked as a legal secretary in New Orleans for ten years prior to the birth of her first child. Peggy then became a homemaker and a very active volunteer at her childrens’ schools and activities. She was on the board of the St. Mark School Co-Op Club for many years and worked as the Tiger Band secretary at Holy Cross High School.
Visitation will be held at St. Faustina Catholic Church (28102 FM 1093 Rd, Fulshear, TX 77441) from 10:15-10:40 on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 with a rosary and funeral mass to follow. A Committal Service will follow at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home (13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079). Family and friends are invited to remain at Memorial Oaks for a reception.
In lieu of flowers, Peggy’s family requests donations in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association of Houston and Southeast Texas (Alzheimer's Association | Donate to Fight Alzheimer's Disease) or Holy Mass Intentions at St. Faustina Catholic Church.
