Rachel graduated from Lamar High School. She met Troy Taylor in Houston, Texas and married on August 18, 1961. She married into a large family and was loved by all. Rachel had a passion for crafting, baking, and caring for loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Ella Fritsche; brother, Lester Fritsche; sister, Nathlyn Taylor.
Rachel is survived by her loving husband, Troy Taylor; daughters, Melissa Taylor, Rachel C. Taylor, and Ashley Taylor; son, Keith Taylor; granddaughters, Alicia Lane, and Jesse Ayres; great grandchildren, Jazmine Andrade, Victoria Andrade, Carmen Andrade, Todd Lane, Andrew Shorts IV, Isiah Shorts, and Emma Lane; sister, Frances Wernecke; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers are Calvin Wernecke Sr., Dennis Bachmayer, Craig Wernecke, Weston Wernecke, Andrew Shorts III and Brian Taylor.

A visitation for Rachel will be held Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will occur Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 2:00 PM. A burial will occur Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Brookside Memorial Park.
