Ralph was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania on February 2, 1934. He worked in the grocery business in both Pennsylvania at Acme Markets and Texas at Jumbo Markets for a combined 45 years. After retirement, Ralph spent the last 20 years building his own business sharpening scissors and blades for numerous hair salons, textile companies, upholstery shops, grooming salons and doctors’ offices across the Houston area.
Ralph was an avid golfer, musician, artist, auto mechanic, pilot, reader, political observer and conversationalist. Outside of being on the golf course or at the casino, Ralph most enjoyed spending his time with his family and many friends.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Matilda Godleski, whom he was married to for 64 years; his brother, Stanley Godleski; his two children, Mark Godleski and his wife Alison, and Diane Green and her husband Eddie; his two grandchildren Cristie and Rebecca.
Ralph lived a full, happy life, was extremely loved by all who knew him and will be forever missed.
