Together with his wife (Consuelo) and family, he served in the ministry for over 63 years as Pastor of several churches in Texas, Presbyter in Houston, Texas and faithfully served God as member of several committees, church projects and teaching seminars.

Ministerio Esperanza de Vida Eterna was inaugurated in November 2022. This ministry will continue and will now be spearheaded by his nephew, Elias Amaya.
Dr. Amaya was always researching the word of God and felt the need to share what he learned with others. He wrote seven books which he self-published and would give away as gifts.
