Alyssa you where Grandpa's favorite the apple of his eye. Dad would always ask about you and made sure that i take care of you above anybody else.  The Love between a Grandpa and Granddaughter is magical and bond unbreakable thank u Dad.

Just a year ago Dad you had so much energy and zest for life. Can't believe you are no longer with us. But you are still with Loved ones no matter here or there everybody loves and misses you so much Raulito.

My deepest condolences to the Armendariz family. I was blessed to have known Raul for twenty plus years. I remembered how nervous I was to meet him. We drove up to Grand Prairie, TX, to meet him, and his wife, Amelia. He immediately started sharing stories of his life as a child and his life with his family. He had so many great stories, some I had heard many times over, but I would act like it was the first time I had heard them. Lol. Raul was a very proud man, especially of his family. He was also very proud of his accomplishments and all the places he lived and visited - you could just see it in his stance. I'll always remember how he had the most beautiful, thick and nourished green grass on his street and how he always kept his vehicles washed and cleaned. When Raulito and I told him we were expecting his first grandchild, Raul jumped out of his chair so fast and did a little shuffle dance with his feet. I knew he was so happy and excited. I had only seen him act like that a few other times, and that was only when his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboy's, won their games. Every time we visited him and Amelia, he was genuinely excited to see to us. He always greeted us with hugs, and before he could even let go, he was looking from the corner of his eyes looking for his grandchildren. Once he zeroed in on them, he was ready to give them the biggest hugs and kisses. It breaks my heart to know that they will never get another embracing hug from him or ever see the pride that just beamed off his face when he smiled from the sight of his grandchildren. One thing that Raul and I shared was that we both were cat-people. I loved that about him. Every time we went to visit him, he had a new fresh cut or scratch from his cat, Keagan. He wore those scars and battle wounds as a badge of honor. He always said they were just love bites and scratches, and I knew exactly what he meant, because we both loved our cats with our whole heart and soul. He will be dearly loved and missed forever. RIP my father-in-law.
