He was preceded in death by his parents, Georgia T. & Joseph L. Lambright.
Ray is survived by his wife, Janie Louise Lambright, children, Gordon Lambright, LaDonna Lambright, Ronnie Lambright and his wife Donna, Chari Armstrong and her husband Richard; Grandchildren, Evan Dean Lambright, Ronnie Ray Lambright, Jr., Jonathan Lambright, Courtnee Lambright and A.J. Armstrong; Great-grandchildren, Delilah Armstrong, Brixton Lambright, Cannon Ray Lambright and Hallie Lambright.
Ray served in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1966 and received commendations as a Sharpshooter.
He worked for Champion International in Corrigan, Texas, for 22 years as a Purchasing Agent and then another 20 years with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in Huntsville, Texas, also as a purchasing agent, where he retired August 31, 2007.
Ray enjoyed fishing, reading, going to church, gathering with friends and family, singing and playing his guitar and the piano. Ray also enjoyed traveling to see family, working in the yard and spending time with Janie and his schnauzer dogs.
Ray was good man and inspiration in faith. He knew the bible very well and took the time to become an ordained minister after his retirement. There is no doubt in our minds he is with our Lord and Savior today.
All services will be help on Friday March 3, 2023 at Brookside Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Tx, 77039, a Visitation from 11:00 PM to 1:00 PM, a Funeral Service will occur from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, a Committal Service will occur from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM.
