I'm deeply saddened to hear of Ray Burn's passing.  Some of my fondest memories of Lamar High School include being a teammate of Ray's. I admired him and respected him. He was our "play caller"; he was a leader.
 
Even though I hadn't seen nor spoken with Ray Burns in many years, my memories of him will always be with me.

To RRB, I love you forever, CB   I miss morning coffee with your note on the front page of the newspaper. I miss exploring new places with you, watchng the NFL channel with you, your sense of humor and your optimism and knowing no matter what, we will always love one another.

I lived on Tangley across the street from your cousins Bobby and Freddy Burns. We had lots of play time and fun on the empty lot next to our house on 3721 Tangley playing football,baseball, builting Christmas tree forts and playing rubber guns and ,etc. I would have like to see you at our Lamar Hi reunions but will have to wait. I will always remember your ducks on the wall in the old house in Houston....how you were so cool when J and I were being goofy teenagers, and pretended not to notice....  you were a part of my life during an important and cherished time, and you gave us one of the dearest people in the world, your daughter Janice.
