

Ricardo was born to Ricardo Gonzalez Sr. and Olivia Valdez Gonzalez. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School and went on to build a long and respected career as a mechanic, working in the field for over 50 years. His dedication, strong work ethic, and skill were known by all who worked with him.
In Houston, Texas, Ricardo later met Diane DeLeon, and they were married in 1979. Ricardo had three children with Olivia: his son, Ricardo Gonzalez III, and his daughters, Miranda Moreno and Laura Alcantara.
Ricardo was preceded in death by his parents, Ricardo Gonzalez Sr. and Olivia Valdez Gonzalez; and his sisters, Erlinda Gonzalez, Esmeralda Gonzalez, and Eloise Serrano.
He is survived by his sisters, Anna Contreras, Mary Frances Gonzalez Williams, and Josephine Gonzalez; his three children; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ricardo Gonzalez III, Johnathon Reyna, Alexander Martinez, Justin Sauceda, Victor Linares, and Felix Reyna II.

A visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel, located at 5100 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77022, on December 16, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 12:00 am (next day).
The funeral service is scheduled for December 17, 2025, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, also at Funeraria Del Angel.
The committal service will take place at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038, on December 17, 2025, from 10:30 am to 10:45 am.
