Richard graduated from the University of Texas and received a Bachelor's Degree from Petroleum Land Management. Richard worked in various positions within the oil and gas industry. Richard enjoyed nature he loved to be outdoors and feeding the birds. He would never pass up the opportunity to explore different restaurants, and spending quality time with friends and loved ones. Richard was very analytical and loved technical changes.
He is preceded in death by wife Cynthia Louise Cook; mother, Dorothy Mark-Smallwood; father, Dewey Haynie.
Richard is survived by his fiancé Mary Peters LeMond, and many other distant friends and family.
A visitation for Richard will be held Friday, July 1, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Friday, July 1, 2022 at 10:00 AM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A graveside service will occur Friday, July 1, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Caldwell Masonic Cemetery, 1499 West 12th St., Caldwell, TX 77836.
Serving as pallbearers are Austin Key, Jeb Conde, Albert Peters, Jonah Conde, Nathan Mullen and Kendall Peters.
