Rickey "Rick" Gene Weber, 71, of College Station, Texas, passed away on March 23, 2026.
Rick was born on July 31, 1954, in Thomas, Oklahoma. He later moved on to Texas in the mid-1970's, where he built a successful and respected career in the oil and gas industry. Over the years, he worked as a designer and project manager, contributing to major projects including his time with H. O. Mohr, and OIE on the Amoco Luihua 11-1 project in China, and later as a Project Manager and Site Manager for BP on the Atlantis project. Rick was known professionally as a strong leader-- fair, steady, and deeply respected for his integrity.
He attended school in Oklahoma and studied engineering at Oklahoma State University.
Rick was a devoted husband to Dana Claire Weber, whom he married on May 22, 1993. Together, they built a life centered on family, hospitality, and shared adventure.
Rick had a deep appreciation for adventure and the outdoors. He enjoyed sailing on Lake Conroe and in Kemah, scuba diving in the Caribbean and Indonesia, and traveling extensively-- including photography trips to Africa, Alaska, and across Texas and New Mexico. He had a passion for wing shooting, which led to his love of Boykin Spaniels and participation in field hunts and tower shoots. Rick was also an avid Jeep enthusiast, taking his TJ on off-road adventures and Jeep Jamborees.
After retiring, Rick fully embraced the life he had worked so hard to build. He found great joy at his high-fenced R & D Ranch in Garwood, Texas, where he spent countless hours with his beloved Boykin Spaniels and tending to his deer. He loved hosting family and friends, and nothing brought him more happiness that time spent with his grandchilren.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dana Weber; his daughter, Melanie Laine Corley and her husband Randall Corley, along with their children Randall III ("Tres") and Dylan; and his stepdaughters, Beth Leigh Esola and her husband Michael Esola, Gail Lynne Alvarez and her husband Daniel Alvarez, along with their children Colton and Cameron, and Darcie Cheri Crumpacker and her husband Sam Crumpacker, along with their children Audrey and Case.
He is also survived by his sister, Pattie Lastinger.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Weber and Loretta Weber, and his brother, Herb Weber.
Rick will be remembered as a calm and patient presence, a man of strong character and integrity, and a steady leader within both his professional and personal life. Above all, he will be remembered as a deeply loved husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, and friend whose legacy lives on through the many lives he touched.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 25 in Castlegate II, College Station, Texas. Time and additional details will be shared with family and friends.
