Robert graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown, Texas in 1955. Robert later graduated college from the University of Texas in 1961, with a degree in Electrical Engineering and began working for Houston Lighting and Power Co, which is now called Centerpoint Energy. Robert stayed with the company for 31 years, retiring in 1992 at the age of 55, while serving as the manager of the Distribution Engineering Division. He was active within the community, in the Arbor Oaks subdivision for many years; he also was a member of the Texas Board of Professional Engineers.
Robert is survived by his wife, Gwen; Son, David; sisters, Barbara Norris, Helen Gerlich and husband, Gil Gerlich along with several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial Service for Robert will be held at a later date.
