Robert's early career as a machinist was his passion. He later went on to work in Sam's Auto Parts,
the family business. Afterwards, he went to work for The Metro Transit Authority as a mechanic where he received many awards, including the Journeymen Certification.
Robert is preceded in death by his father, Sam Vera.
Left to cherish his memories are his Mother, Minnie Vera; Daughter, Anne; Grandchildren, Great-grandchildren; siblings, Sammy Vera and wife Ruth, Ricky Vera and wife Louise Diane Ramirez, Roy Vera and wife, Rosalyn.
The family will receive friends for a visitation on Friday, March 26, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home,13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 2:30 PM in the Grand Chapel followed by a burial at Brookside Memorial Park.
