Rose Marie Grabarkwitz

Rose Marie Grabarkwitz, of Houston, TX, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday September 23, 2025, at the age of 88. Rose was born on August 24, 1937 in Chappell Hill, TX to Frank & Genevieve Bilski. She grew up on a farm in Chappell Hill then the family moved to Houston. Those blessed to know Rose will remember her for her devotion to faith, her boundless love for family, and her kind and compassionate heart.

Rose met the love of her life and married Robert Paul Grabarkwitz on June 20, 1959 and was blessed with 3 beautiful daughters, Deborah, Susan, and Tracy. Her family was the center of her world, and she was passionate about spending time with them.

Rose enjoyed playing cards, bowling, traveling, working in her vegetable garden and canning pickles, jellies and jams, Bingo and loved visiting the casinos. Rose was deeply committed to her Catholic faith and was a longtime parishioner at St. Jerome Catholic Church. Rose had a deep affection for the country life and cherished her time spent at the farm.

Survivors include her husband, Robert; daughters Deborah daSilva and husband Nelson, Susan Smith and husband Troy, Tracy Moore and husband Robert. 9 grandchildren Christina Jones and husband Chuck, Jason daSilva and wife Kelly, Eric Brister and wife Veronica, Amanda Bartlett and husband Collin, Clayton Moore and wife Crystal, Joshua Moore and wife Marisol, Sarah daSilva, Brianna Smith and Colton Smith. 16 great grandchildren, siblings , Julian Joe "Butch" Bilski and wife Faye, sister in laws Dorothy Bielski and Penny Bilski.

Rose is proceeded in death by her parents Frank & Genevieve Bilski, sisters, Martha Pawlak and husband Dan, Stella Cieslewicz Barnhill and husbands John & James , Frances Riley Marshall and husbands Harry & Marion, Bernice and husband Louis, brothers, Frank Bielski Jr, Edward James "EJ" Bilski and granddaughters Heather Moore and Hailey Smith.

A visitation For Rose will be Held Wednesday October 1, 2025 from 5pm- 7pm with a Rosary 7pm at Brookside Funeral Home Cypress-Creek.

The funeral mass will be held Thursday October 2, 2025 at 10am at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Chappell Hill, TX with burial and reception to follow at the church cemetary.

Pall Bearers are as follows Jason daSilva, Eric Brister, Clayton Moore, Joshua Moore, Colton Smith, Collin Bartlett.

Her memory will be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
