Rose "Marie" Wyatt

Rose Marie Wyatt was born on May 25, 1953, to Mary Johnson and the late Edmond Livings in Lafayette, La. Marie was the firstborn of nine children she was a rare bloom with a bold spirit, that came into this world at a whopping 3lbs that touched the hearts of everyone around her. She was just as fragile as a freshly bloomed rose when her grandmother took loving care of her for the first three months of her life. Marie gave her life to Christ at an early age where she attended Our Lady of St. John Catholic Church. When Marie was 14 years old the family moved to Houston, TX where is attend and graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1973.

She worked for many years cleaning office buildings until she started her career with Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Environmental Services Department for 37 years. During her time at Memorial Hermann she later met the love of her life Oisa Wyatt and on September 20, 1985, they solidified their love before God, family, and friends. Marie loved hosting every major holiday, cooking, baking, spending time with her family, looking at a good tennis match, playing games on her phone, eating Fruit Loops, camping and fishing with her late husband. Although she may not have had any children of her own, she was nurturing and mothered a village. Her love had no limits when it came to her family — if you needed a hug, kiss, a hot meal, or even a few dollars (that she may or may not have to give), she made sure you were taken care of and that was just who she was.

On June 4, 2025, our beloved Rose Marie Wyatt transitioned from her earthly body at Memorial Hermann Hospital peacefully. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Oisa Wyatt; father Edmond Livings, paternal grandparents Fernand Living and Cecile Bonnet-Living and her maternal grandparents Merlin Johnson and Rosezella Guidry-Johnson, her older sister Elizabeth Livings.

Rose leaves her legacy to: her mother Mary Living, 8 siblings Mary Williams, Phillip Living, Isabelle -Jackie-McHenry (Stevenson), Elizabeth -Chris- Tubbs, Loretta Jefferson (Clifford), Emma -Tammy-Myles, Vanessa Thomas-Williams (Eric), and Rhonda Pleasant all of Houston, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
