.Ruby Lee Davis McKenzie, 85, of Katy passed away Friday, March 18, 2011. She was born March 6, 1926 in LaGrange, TX. Ruby is preceded in death by her first husband of 32 years, Hezekiah Davis Sr.; 1 sister, Laverne Chatman. Ruby is survived by her husband of 5 years, Joshua McKenzie, her loving children, Hezekiah Davis and wife Rita, Elois Carmouche and husband Joseph, Maurice Davis and wife Gloria, Freddie Davis, Wanda Caballero; 3 sisters, Lillian Woods, Bernice McDonald, Beatrice Livings, 7 grandchildren Felicia Davis, Tamara Young, Cindi Andres, Jennifer Calixto, Maurice Davis Jr., Tiffany Davis, Wyran Davis; 3 great-grandchildren, Devon Antunes, Michael Davis, Daisy Calixto; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Friday, March 25, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Brookside Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be 10:00 am Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Brookside Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Brookside Memorial Park.
