Ruby Doris Stephens

Doris was born as Ruby Doris Heathcock in San Antonio, Texas to Ruby Jewell and Columbus Heathcock on March 14,1938.

Doris married the love of her life on July 8,1956. Together they had 2 sons, Mark, and John. Both boys grew to be strong and dependable men just like their dad.

Doris was very strong in her faith as a Jehovah’s Witness. She loved to show her thankfulness and respect to the Elders by the many fabulous luncheons she gave. She also enjoyed her part time job as a school crossing guard for the Pasadena School District. And, Doris could out fish any of us.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Columbus, and Ruby. Brothers, Clarence, Marvyn and Stel. Sisters, Noble Ann; who died as a young child and Mary and Niece Mary Rebecca. And, the love of her life, Lincoln whom she was married to for 65 years.

Doris is survived by her brother Charles Heathcock, sons Mark and John daughters-in-law Lisa and Leah. Four grandchildren, Jason, Angela, Brandy, and Kayla. And 12 great grandchildren, Cameron, Avery, Violet, Preston, Morgan, Nathan, Kenley, Jacob, Jayden, Jace, Walker and Weston, and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by the many Witnesses that she had developed a strong bond to.
