

She graduated from John Ford High School and she later received a Mental Retardation Specialist Certificate from Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College.
Ruth Jude had careers as a Parts Technician with Hughes Aircraft, Mental Retardation Specialist at adult group homes in South Carolina and New York, and a Dorm Director at South Carolina State University.
She was a member of the 6&7 club, which commemorates the legacy of her 1967 high school graduating class.
She had a passion for spending time with her family and friends, working, socializing, listening to music, decorating, fishing, singing, dancing, shopping, and caring for her children. She could always be counted on for solid advice, a heart-felt conversation, and a good laugh.
She was survived by two daughters (Lakisha Monique Wiley of Sandusky, OH and Terribia Danielle Jude of Houston, TX); one son (Lance Marcellus Jude of Houston, TX); one son-in-law (William Wiley of Sandusky, OH); one daughter-in-law (Dena Jude of Columbia, SC); eight grandchildren (Bryce Bull, Shanise Emanuel, Arthur Bull III, Shadeek Wiley, Madison Jude, Nadia Jude-Irick, McKenzie Jude, and Maijon Wiley); five nieces, four nephews, and many other beloved family members and friends.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, spouse (Willie Lance Jude), siblings (Rebecca Granger, Curtis Granger, Annie Mae White, and Arnold Granger), two nieces (Toni Gee and Lakisha Rogers), and one nephew (Orlando White).
Funeral arrangements will take place at 2pm, on December 19, 2020 at Dunbar Funeral Home in Columbia, SC.
