Sal graduated from Lamar High School in 1971 and attended the University of Houston in the 1970s.
Sal was a career insurance underwriter, and spent the majority of his career at New Era Life Insurance Company. Sal enjoyed his work and the many friends and colleagues he developed over the years at New Era Life.
Sal enjoyed all sports, but his main passion was bowling, where he enjoyed bowing in leagues and competing in tournaments. Sal’s passion for bowling allowed him to develop lifelong friendships with fellow bowlers and their families.
Sal is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Marie Petrosino and is survived by his brother John Petrosino and his sister Rae Ann Hill.
Sal was known for his love of family and friends, his sense of compassion and empathy, and his razor sharp sense of humor.
The family would like to thank the staff at Houston Methodist Hospital, Guardian Healthcare, Heart-to-Heart Hospice and Family Tree Private Care for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in their final days.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Sal’s Life at Forest Park Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Rd., Houston, Texas 77077, in the Mission Memorial Mausoleum, on November 1, 2025, at 1:00 P.M.
